Responsibilities and Daily Work
This role supports the Human Resources Manager and is vital to organizational coordination. The assistant handles job postings, resume screening, interviews, onboarding, and payroll participation. Administrative duties such as maintaining employee records, generating HR reports, assisting with employee events, and tracking benefits enrollment are all central to this role.
Employees in this position also support occupational health, safety, and work uniform management. The successful candidate is expected to draft meeting minutes and help manage attendance and absenteeism records, fostering overall HR efficiency in daily operations.
The assistant is also responsible for benefits administration and will contribute to the development of training programs, helping the HR department run smoothly.
Given the many touchpoints with confidential and sensitive information, discretion and organizational skills are a must. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required, with experience in ADP, Smartsheet, and SharePoint considered assets.
